About Codevory
37 free tools for developers, in one place, with no account and no upload.
What Codevory is
Codevory collects the small tools that developers reach for every day: formatting and checking JSON, YAML, XML and SQL, converting between data formats, encoding and decoding text, generating identifiers and passwords, working with dates and time zones, testing regular expressions and cron schedules, and shrinking CSS, HTML and JavaScript.
The tools are grouped as JSON, Encoding, Developer, Data & SQL, Color & Web. Each one has its own page that explains how it works, shows a worked example and answers the questions people usually have. Browse all tools.
Your input stays in your browser
Every tool runs on your device. The text you paste, the tokens you decode and the queries you format are processed by JavaScript in the page and are never sent to a server. That is what makes the tools safe for configuration files, API responses and logs.
You do not have to take our word for it: open your browser's developer tools, look at the Network tab while you use a tool, and you will see that nothing is sent. The privacy policy describes what the site does store.
Exact, and honest about limits
The tools follow the specifications rather than guessing. The JSON tools use a strict parser that reports the line and column of the first error and keeps large numbers exactly as written. Ambiguous input is refused instead of interpreted: a date written 03/04/2024 means different days in different countries, so the timestamp converter asks for ISO 8601.
Where a tool cannot do something reliably, its page says so. The JWT decoder reads a token but cannot verify it. The SQL formatter lays out a query but cannot tell you whether it will run, which is why there is no SQL validator.
How the tools are tested
Each tool is covered by automated tests, and many are checked against an independent reference: hash functions against Node's cryptography module, color names against the browser's own color engine, JSON parsing against JSON.parse on thousands of damaged documents, and minified code by running it before and after and comparing the results.
Codevory needs a current browser. It uses standard features such as Web Crypto, Web Workers and the time zone data in Intl.
